Day 21: January 21, 2010
I’ve spent the evening setting up my scanner and sorting through various albums and boxes of old photographs trying to decide where to begin. It’s hard for me to organize old pictures because I really like them better just like this, spread out on a table in no order, decades all jumbled and overlapping, family and friends and random strangers just passing through, the living and the dead, the dearly-remembered and unknown or long forgotten, sepia and black and white and color, deckled-edge old Polaroids from barbecues fifty years ago, department store Santas and class pictures, a collage of memories.
